Bacteremia after Endodontic Procedures in Patients with Heart Disease: Culture and Molecular Analyses

Product not yet rated

Infective endocarditis (IE) is still associated with high mortality, and antibiotic prophylaxis strategies are under intense debate. We evaluated the incidence of bacteremia after root canal preparation in teeth with necrotic pulps and apical periodontitis.

At the conclusion, participants should be able to:

  • Describe the motion of the reciprocating and the continuous rotating instruments.
  • Discuss about the difference between the reciprocating and the continuous rotating instruments caused by kinematics - especially, in the aspects of cyclic fatigue resistance, shaping ability for canal transportation, apical debris extrusion and dentinal defects.
  • List the instrumental characteristics other than kinematics that influence cyclic fatigue resistance, shaping ability for canal transportation, apical debris extrusion and dentinal defects.
