The aim of this study was to compare postoperative pain and success rate following pulpotomy and root canal treatment.

At the conclusion, participants should be able to:

  • To evaluate the clinical and radiographic success after pulpotomy and root canal treatment.
  • To evaluate pain incidence, pain intensity and pain reduction after pulpotomy and root canal treatment.
  • Discuss the efficacy of Pulpotomy as an alternative treatment in adults with cariously exposed vital teeth and with absence of periapical radioluscency.
  • To list the advantages of Pulpotomy over RCT in cariously exposed vital mature teeth.
