D-1 Looking Through the “Retrospective Scope” - How I Would Have Done It Differently (Nonsurgical Cases)

CE Credits: 1.5

Program Overview:

It has been suggested that the treating clinician is a major factor with respect to endodontic success, second only to iatrogenic errors and misdiagnosis. Hindsight is always 20/20. If correcting a clinical problem were as easy as clicking “undo” on a keyboard, dentistry would be simple. This presentation is designed showcase treatment approaches that resulted in less than ideal outcomes and how these cases were managed. Drs. Nudera, Coury, Simon and Zucker will offer insight as to why certain decisions were made at the time of treatment and, given the chance, what decisions would be made differently the second time around.

At the conclusion, participants should be able to:

  •  Discuss case-specific factors and decisions that resulted in unfavorable outcomes.
  •  Describe how specific cases were managed when treatment did not go as planned.
  •  Explain what would have been done differently if treating the same case again.
