NS-13 Comprehensive Endodontic Care: A Clinical Illustration

5 (3 votes)

CE Hours: 1.5

Course Description:

Comprehensive dental treatment is often multidisciplinary in nature. However, the traditional role of the endodontist has been limited to prescription-based endodontic treatment, with little involvement in treatment planning or decision making. Dr. Nallapati works closely with other dental specialists and will discuss why the role of the endodontic specialist should be redefined. He will show how advanced technologies, particularly CBCT, have empowered the endodontist to contribute more to comprehensive treatment planning, whether it is rehabilitation of a single tooth or the full dentition. This case-based presentation highlights the use of CBCT in multidisciplinary treatment planning in his practice, including the management of complex clinical scenarios, with many long-term follow-ups.

At the conclusion, participants should be able to:

  • Plan comprehensive endodontic treatment.
  • Describe the use of CBCT in complex tooth rehabilitation.
  • Explain the role of the endodontist in complex clinical scenarios.
