Course Description:

This course will discuss the most current uses of cone beam-computed tomography as it pertains to endodontic treatment and diagnosis. Included will be discussion and examples of why CBCT is ideal during endodontic cases of diagnosis, fractures, mid-treatment, resorption, presurgical and implant planning. Upon completion of this course, the participant will have a better understanding of the CBCT and its important role in providing optimal endodontic care.  

At the conclusion, participants should be able to:

  • Utilize CBCT in aiding in the diagnosis of teeth with endodontic etiology.
  • Recognize anatomical variations, missed canals and defects in teeth using CBCT.
  • Prepare presurgically and prior to retreatments using CBCT.

Evan R. Chugerman, D.MD, M.S.Ed., M.A.

Dr. Chugerman was born and raised on Long Island, NY. He received a Masters degree in Biology from Hofstra University. He graduated from the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Dental Medicine with honors, and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society. In conjunction with his dental training, Dr. Chugerman received a Masters degree in Higher Education from the University of Pennsylvania. His specialty degree in Endodontics was received from University of Texas Health Science San Antonio. Dr. Chugerman lectures extensively to dentists on all topics related to the field of Endodontics. He is an Attending at Nassau County Medical Center and Winthrop Medical Center, where he teaches and supervises newly graduated dentists as they become more proficient in root-canal work. He lives on Long Island with his wife, three children, and bulldog. He maintains a private practice limited to Endodontics.

Michael J. Feldman, D.M.D.

Dr. Feldman is a third generation dentist and a second generation Board Certified Endodontist who practices in Hewlett and Massapequa New York. Dr. Feldman volunteers at the Endodontic training program at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn New York and at the GPR at Nassau University Medical Center in Hempstead Long Island. He lives in Hewlett with his Wife Robin and his three children.
