The aim was to compare the periapical status of root-filled teeth restored with resin composite, laboratory-fabricated crowns, or amalgam in a Swedish adult population. 

At the conclusion, participants should be able to:

  • Identify factors associated with periapical status of root-filled teeth.
  • Discuss the impact of the type/material of coronal restoration on periapical status.
  • Discuss the significance of quality of coronal restorations and root-fillings on periapical status.
