Course Description: 

This session will explore complicated questions patients are asking about allergies, the movie, "Root Cause", the use of epinephrine, as well as treatment outcomes and anxiety reducing measures.

At the conclusion, participants should be able to:

  • Demonstrate confidence and professionalism when addressing complicated questions patients ask
  • Provide evidenced based, intelligent answers to patient questions to put them at ease and guide them in being well informed about their endodontic treatment
  • Demonstrate awareness of what is being conveyed in media outlets relative to adverse affects of and complications arising from root canal treatment

Brent D. Rundquist, D.D.S., M.S.

Dr. Brent Rundquist is a full time endodontic practitioner with The Dental Specialists in Maple Grove and Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. He practiced general dentistry for 10 years and treatment of facial pain prior to specializing in endodontics in 2003. He is a guest lecturer in the endodontic department at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, and he currently resides in South Minneapolis. Other interests include playing trombone in the Wayzata Symphony Orchestra and Ars Nova Brass Quintet, fly fishing, and exploring the Boundary Wayers Canoe Area Wilderness

Dawn Wogan

Dawn has been an endodontic assistant for over 30 years. She has been working in her currant position at The Dental Specialists with Dr. Alan Law for the past 23 years. Over the the course of her career she has trained and mentored many dentists, assistants and students. She has lectured locally and nationally about patient management and endodontic assisting. In her spare time she enjoys running, camping and hiking with her family.

Rachel M. Lero

Rachel has been an endodontic assistant for 12 years and practicing with Dr. Rundquist for the past 9. Rachel combines her background as a former flight attendant and service industry professional with her dental experience to help her patients feel comfortable and at ease during endodontic procedures. In her spare time Rachel and her husband like to travel, spend time with family and friends, as well as remodling projects around their home.
