This lecture will discuss the surgical procedures, outcome, and prognostic factors of intentional replantation and tooth autotransplantation based on clinical studies at the Microscope Center, Department of Conservative Dentistry of Yonsei University, Korea. This session will also provide some insight into the effect of root-end filling material and periodontal involvement on the outcome of intentional replantation and suggest possible ideas to prevent the ankylosis of replanted or transplanted teeth. 

At the conclusion, participants should be able to:

  • Discuss the outcomes of endodontic microsurgery.
  • Describe the prognostic factors of endodontic microsurgery.
  • Discuss the outcomes and prognostic factors of intentional replantation.
