Description: Many dental organizations are inundated with sophisticated "technology stuff" that are often expensive to acquire, labor-intensive to install, and too complex for in-house staff to personally self-manage and maintain, much less upgrade when necessary.  The traditional path of easily finding competent technology vendors have also had its share of failures, leaving practice owners frustrated only to continue the laborious search for acceptable solutions.By implementing simple-to-learn and sensible "Chief Information Officer" C-suite strategies and methods, practice owners (that do not need a dedicated CIO) can put an end to wasting time and money supporting regrettable technology choices.  In the long run, incorporating a few CIO tools into managing your business can:     ●     simplify business owner responsibilities     ●     decrease overspending and technology-related downtime     ●     increase technology reliability and staff productivityLecture material will be covering pertinent dental business and clinical technologies, foundational CIO skills and how to incorporate these new tools into their practice, and how to efficaciously hire and manage technology vendors.  It is assumed that many attendees will have limited technology management skill sets and this lecture is designed to target this audience level.  Presentation material will include technology checklists and guides.
