Joel C. Small, DDS, MBA, ACC, Board Certified Executive Coach

Dr. Joel C. Small is a board certified executive leadership coach, entrepreneur, author, speaker, and endodontist. He received his dental degree and endodontic training from the University of Texas at Houston. He later attended Texas Tech University where he received his Masters of Business Administration degree with an emphasis in healthcare management. Dr. Small received his post graduate certification in executive coaching from the Jindal School of Management at the University of Texas at Dallas. He holds the designation of Professional Certified Coach with the International Coach Federation. He is the author of the recently released book, "Face to Face; A Leadership Guide for Healthcare Professionals and Entrepreneurs." Dr. Small is the cofounder of Phase II Dental Transitions, a dental transition firm located in Dallas Texas. Phase II is a consultancy and brokerage firm for endodontic practices nationwide. Dr. Small recently retired after forty one years of clinical endodontic practice. He now lives in Golden, Colorado where he devotes his time to transition consulting, writing, and coaching healthcare professionals on leadership and practice culture development. He has lectured extensively on these subjects. His coaching clients cover a broad spectrum of high achieving dental specialists and restorative dentists.

Edwin McDonald, D.D.S.

Dr. McDonald is a graduate of the University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston, a fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry and the International College of Dentists. Also, he is a visiting faculty member at the Pankey Institute and Spear Education. He has given educational presentations for dentists, dental assistants, and dental practice teams at national and regional dental meetings across the United States on clinical subjects as well as leadership and team building. Those meetings include the Southwest Dental Conference, the Texas Meeting, The Chicago Midwinter Dental Clinic, The Hinman Dental Meeting, The Yankee Dental Conference, The CDA Anaheim and San Francisco. Also, Dr. McDonald has completed the Executive and Professional Coaching Program of the Naveen Jindal School of Management at the University of Texas at Dallas. His coaching practice focuses on helping dentists and other health care professionals develop leadership skills that build more dynamic, rewarding, and profitable professional careers.
