Product not yet rated

CE: 1.0

Course Description:

Augmented reality, superimposition of computer images onto a view of the real world, has been anointed by the largest technology companies as the next frontier to conquer. Evidence of this can be seen in the development of the latest iPhones, widespread use in games and social media, and even use by non-tech companies such as IKEA and Zappos. This presentation will examine what wearable AR technology is and how it is currently being used in dentistry. A live demonstration with the Microsoft HoloLens will help explore possible applications of augmented reality in endodontics.

At the conclusion, participants should be able to:

  • Define augmented reality (AR)
  • Describe the current use of AR in dentistry
  • Describe applications of AR in endodontics
